Busy bee indeed

Hello all!

Sorry I have not written in a bit, my job with the camp, and my internship have pretty much had my hands full!

Since the camp kicked off three weeks ago, we only have 2 weeks left and I am a bit bummed. I am only there three days a week because of my duties at the Living Room, and cannot believe how fast it has gone by! The camp ends August 6th, and the internship should be ending a few weeks later or so.

What I am really excited for is the August Academy at CUNY’s Graduate School for Journalism. The Academy is the perfect opportunity to come and see the school, and take classes there before you even apply. This years Academy takes place Aug 11th to the 13th and includes classes like food writing, and the art of the personal essay. Since I am a communications/journalism student, it is only fitting that I chose to attend a school designed only for journalism, and that whose faculty are current journalists in the field.

Needless to say, my summer has not been boring, nor has it been slow. Which is exactly how I like it.
