Work, work, play

Hey folks!

Can you all believe we are almost in July?! The idea of how fast this summer is going kind of baffles me!

My summer ends a week early because on August 21st I am moving back into GCU. The Student Ambassadors have a retreat on the 26rh that is mandatory. We also move in that day, but because it is a Thursday,  I have to move in on a Saturday because Thursday is no good for my family to move me in.

Today was the Orientation for Operation Summer FUN 2010! We had a lot of returning volunteers, mixed in with some fresh faces! We have a total of 90 kids and campers coming at the moment, and about 30 volunteers. We are going to get some more kids in as the course of the camp goes on, and we hope to get a few more volunteers in. It is always good when you have a lot more pairs of eyes..especially when it comes to the younger kids!

In fact, we told the volunteers to have a lot of patience, and faith, and if they have the little kids, like the 5-7 year old babies, make sure you wear comfy shows because some of them like to run! All in all, we told them to have fun. but it is essentially a job.

This week is also the halfway mark for my internship! For Communications majors at GCU all of our internships require a 120 hours. I have 60 so I have another 60 to go!
